PROMOTER RIPS BOXER-TURNED-MMA FIGHTER TOMMY MORRISON
By Michael Green

The controversy surrounding former heavyweight boxer Tommy Morrison's June 9th MMA debut at The Cliff Castle Casino just got bigger. Morrison's participation on the show against John Stover will surely be covered by a lot of media, but the promoter of the event amazingly doesn't seem too happy that Morrison is getting so much attention.

While the Cliff Castle Casino's Gail Kruschke told the Topeka Capital-Journal that Morrison is "definitely on the card, and we're definitely planning on him being here,"the promoter of the event, Gino Carlucci, owner of the Worldwide Fighting Championship company operating the fight card at Cliff Castle Casino, told the newspaper he doesn't believe Morrison would be a huge draw. The promoter actually knocked his own drawing card when he told the paper that Morrison "is on the card, but I don't know that it's that big a deal, I've already got (UFC Legend) Dan Severn on the card, so it's not like we needed a big lift"
